PGA
Wow, I got to go the Wachovia Championship today. What a different level of golf. The dogs were barking by the time that I left. I did get to see a couple of amazing birdies and by Cink on 17 and Romarro on 9. The golf course was immaculate, and the weather was perfect.
Carol taught another compost class this morning at Latta Plantation. She said that it went very well. She then met a friend at the Vanlandingham Gardens on the UNCC campus. They said the Rhododendron's were gorgeous.
Tomorrow we're going over to Mark & Patti's for the last recognition of Carol's birthday.

Carol's Birthday blues
Well, Carol's birthday is over and we had a nice four days off together. We had a great time Monday with Mom and Dad as they hosted us with their typical hospitality.
Another highlight of the weekend was the return of two of our favorite backyard visitors. The Indigo Bunting and the Rose Breasted Gross Beak. These birds show up every year around Carol's birthday. So over the last few weeks we've had the return of the some of our favorite back yard birds. The two I just mentioned and our Ruby Throated Hummingbirds, Catbirds. Unfortunately the Indigo Bunting and the Gross Beak do not stay.
I'm off to the Wachovia Championship on Saturday. Dad wimped out on me so I have found another person to attend with me. I'll miss you there Dad.
Have a great week.

Hey Every body,
Carol and I had a great weekend. Earth Day Matthews was a great success with preliminary estimates of 1100 people attending. We should get the official count soon. In two months we've gone from not being interested in social networking to participating in 3 sites representing our town, slow food and our friends. It's actually been a lot of fun.
Have a great week!
